Hey yall!

So apparently someone posted this site on a message board that I (semi) frequent, and I was reluctant to even open the thread, but I did, and was like...oh, hey, not bad!!

So let me tell you about myself. I do have a name. Most online knows me as Nat Marie. Or, on message boards, Shadow. Why Shadow? Long story. I'd go into it, but I'm pretty sure that there is a character limit on here, so I rather not. I'm (not) your (stereo) typical black girl from a relatively not-so-good part of Queens, NY. I'm not a hood rat, I don't smoke weed, and I sure as hell do not answer to "HEY MA!" I've almost denounced all rap music, and I speak (almost) perfect English. I'd be lying to you if I said that I know how it is on the streets, since I've been sheltered from them up until I was 18.

I can probably be considered a computer geek. I'm into web design and the like. My biggest passion, however, is singing and writing...and acting if I get the chance. My biggest dream is to go on Broadway and sing in a musical. Even if I'm broke for the rest of my life (and mind you, I'm 21; there's lots of life to have the rest of), just doing that would fulfill my dream. But if I do make it big there, I won't be broke, but...ANYWAY, chyeah. Me. Broadway. That'd be hot.

I started writing when I was in the 7th grade. I wrote a play for an English project back then. I don't remember the name of it, but it involved Christmas present thievery, and a detective named after a 40-ounce beer. I got good reviews about it, and I kept on ever since. I had a three-year writer's block, and during that time, I couldn't produce anything much at all. However, I got through that thanks to loads of time on my hands (and loads of mood stabilizers). So now if I get a quick idea, I'm writing it down, because even though I got most of my writing mojo back, I still have a geriatric short-term memory, so I have to get it on paper, or paper towel as soon as possible.

So basically, it's like this. I'm going to try and keep this place updated. Keyword is "try". It's not impossible, but hey, caca happens.
