"From a small village in Staffordshire, to a little place called London, hails a solo artist whos varied influences and personal musical experience have lead him to becoming an unquestionable talent in the subject of all that is music. Scoring all instruments, Tom shows an inherent ability to create and produce memorable, heart-wrenching songs to a fine standard.
Taking influence from fellow artists such as Ben Harper, Damien Rice, Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz, combined it with an ever growing appreciation of Electronica, (such as Sigur Ros, Boards Of Canada and Aphex Twin) Tom has managed to produce something totally original and entirely unique.
After playing Piano from an early age and taking the time to learn theory and music technology, Tom moved onto playing the drums and then later, guitar. This excellent repertoire of ability led to the introduction to the Electronica producing world at the age of 17 and after a number of years switching through varying styles, Tom has certainly found his musical niche as it were. An eclectic mix of strings, drums, original African percussion, piano, synthesizers and vocals, Toms unique style of music is certainly one to be remembered.
Its hard to believe hes only been singing for a short amount of time, but I didnt expect anything less as his strive and willingness to learn and conquer are unparallel.
Lyrically, Tom takes quite a turn here. His influence from such a fine list of solo artists is very apparent, its hard not to notice the juxtaposition in his writing. A confident artist who below the surface is a regular, everyday guy who just has something to say.
