The Exchange are a four piece band playing pop/rock. They stared as an ABBA tribute band in 2005. Mat and Pete were quick to move on from this project to form under the name The Brightsides. After months of unfruitful meandering and a number of member changes, Mat and Pate shelved their fledgling project and continued with separate musical ventures . Late in 2006 Mat and Pete reformed with a new name and a new sense of hope. However, The Exchange initially had similar member issues. Deciding recording was a better avenue, Mat and Pete spend many months in a cold garage laying finely constructed pop songs. 2007 brought with it a new guitarist. Chris further solidified the bands sound and enabled them to complete the notebook recordings. Encouraged by the Garage Demo, ex- Omega Point Theory drummer Steve decided to 'help the band out'. The Exchange played its first gig at the Media Club on September 15th '07. Let the fun times roll.
