1) I'm working on songs together with DJ Skagnetti of Agent Empire, a local electronica outfit. This should be real good.
2) My EP is being sent to Diskfaktory for manufacturing. Distribution by Apis will shortly follow. If you live in MPLS or even Minnesota for that matter, come to uptown famous "Treehouse Records" on 26thAve/Lyndale S. and pick it up.

3) I just got over a run of the flu. That was some nasty shit. Really. I was bed-ridden and had to get up every 15 min. to liquify the toilet in one of many ways.

Well, tonight is all Hallow's eve. And I will be attending a private party, as none other than Greenman. Yes, that's right the very same one the humans have named a music festival for.
For tonight and tonight only is, well, the first for many things;
1) I am announcing that a few tracks from the new record are going to surface here to this site.
2) The private party is in commemoration of The Wicked and electronica songwriter/performer Neeko.

3) Greenman will be in attendance with Mother Earth to this party.

Another Muggy Night

It's rained here the last couple days, and now it's muggy. YUCK. I had two days off from the station, but soon thereafter I began to catch a bug and am now sick. I've slept a lot. So recording has been out on hold.
And on to the worst of it all; My kitty of 17 years was put to sleep on Wed. This was the hardest call to make in a long while.
She was old. About three months ago, she dislocated her hind leg. Which looked awfully painful.
I had paid to have her fixed. The doctors had warned us that because of her age, she could pop it out again very easily. They suggested to put her down then, I didn't want that.
And to top it all off, she had a hyper-thyroid. Without medication would over-metabolize her food and cause her to be hungry all the time.
Kitty was a one person cat from the day I met her. She was used to dogs, but never lived with other cats. So moving in with my girlfriend that had three cats already was hard for her. They gave her shit all the time.
Many factors were involved with the call.
I miss you, Kitty.
Goodbye.

It's a muggy and rainy day here, and I'm relaxing and enjoying my day off. Kari and I are probably going to do a vision-board tonight.
Kyle had a DDA show last Sunday. I couldn't go 'cause it was too far north. Kyle and I are going back to the studio this week for another track or two.
I'm just playing guitar, and listening to LPs.
Today includes The White Stripes, John McLaughlin, The Bears and more to come...

I've been busy recording w/Vosa and also writing heavily for my forthcoming EP. The title is being tossed into the air now.
Also, my brother ("in-law") Kyle Rod has been writing and recording with me. We are shooting for one song written and recorded a week.

New Band New Album New News

We have begun recording a new collection of hits. Vosa and I have a real affinity with music. Our drive is rolling. 12 songs by Christmas is the goal. I can feel my heart drop to my stomach already. Wish us luck with this project. I believe the Sessions are called "The Audio Project".
I don't blog enough to really have an interesting blog.

I recently applied for a receptionist job in the local tribune. I had problems with the fax, but eventually got it to work. Wish me luck! I hope I get it.
