*NEW
New Album: Provisional title: Borderlands
I finally upgraded my kit, which now includes the Korg Triton Extreme - the 88 note weighted version which is absolutely awesome. Despite the recent birth of my son I've been finding time to play, and create. I've always been interested in Celtic myth, having been brought up on the Scottish borders, and this album has the notion of borders as its inspiration. The entrance to the otherworld can be found at the entrance to caves, on the shore between water and land, at dusk and at dawn, There are modern borders - the train terminus, the cosy warmth of a room while a storm rages beyond the window. I'm no Jarre or Oldfield, but the concept is similar - one piece flowing on into the next, a musical pastiche inspired by physical and human borders, by the movement of life, by change.

The first three pieces (not finished) are presented as one 11 minute mp3. Dusk Light, Rain on the window, Terminus.

Album: 10 years of scenery
This album is basically an amalgamation of diverse recordings I made over approximately ten years. Some of them are my own, most are arrangements of other people's work, which I've done for weddings, or out of personal interest, or as a means of learning about my keyboards and improving my understanding of music.

Album: A distant shore: Instrumental themes
Originally created in '95, back when you had to get CDs made by companies who charged a lot of money. Re-did it myself with some changes in 2002. Compositions and arrangements all my own.

Album: Red wine and jam
Not really an album, just the name Ross and I used for our Thursday night music night. He'd bring his guitar and a bottle of red (usually a Penfolds Shiraz) to my place and I'd cook. Then we'd drink the rest of the wine, write music and jam. We did this almost every Thursday for probably 2 years, until Ross got married. I miss those days.
