About Me  Community
I tend to be a relaxed person who loves to see and experience new things.
My passions are painting/drawing, color guard, dance, sewing, and finding new things to learn and create.
I've always loved art and have had it as an influence my whole life. I may not be all that great at it, but it's what I love to do and as long as I get joy from it I'll continue to create. :D

Mission Six::

Rebuilding my Humble Voice::

After leaving on tour, I completely forgot about this website and thus have not updated anything or been a part of anything having to do with this site. I am excited to get back into it because I really love this site and think its a great place to show and view artwork to get and give ideas and inspiration. So starting today, I'm going to make this profile something I am more proud of and enjoy using.

Mission Five::

10/10/2009 at 10:11 PM

Getting confident/better in painting class:: Complete!

I'm now going to college and am taking a painting class.
It's very exciting and I'm finally learning how to paint with oils! The only problem is I'm super slow with my artwork and so I've been trying extra hard to be fast enough to keep up with the class speed. This isn't too big of a problem, but it makes me feel uncomfortable and a bit stressed while I work. This is probably a good thing though. It's helping me get faster at painting and is stopping me from nit-picking every detail. But also while doing this my work is a lot worse then I'm use to... I suppose it's a process.

Edit 12/30/09::

I'm a bit late to post seeing as how it's halfway through winter break and my class has been over, but during class I really started to feel confident in painting, Even when they looked horrible, and many of them did, I learned a lot from what I was doing and why it is done the way it is. As far as the stress from speed; I don't know if I'll ever get over it, but I can use it to my advantage now.

Mission Four::

Making rifle line:: Complete!

This isn't exactly art related, but I've tried out for gun line for Blue Knights Drum Corp and am hoping I make it.
Right now this has been what I'm focusing on and it's really exciting.
There are six spots and this will be my first year marching so I'm just happy to get the chance to spin. But I love rifle so it would be amazing to get to be on the line.
The only thing that's getting to me is not knowing exactly when we're told who makes it. xP
But if I make it or not I'm still going to have a blast this summer! ^^

Just in case you don't know; drum corp is like marching band at a higher level, and we travel across the country and preform every few days for about two months. I'm going to be in the colorguard which is the section who spins flags, sabres, and rifles.

Edit 4/28::

I made the line! ^^

Mission Three::

Finishing my button painting:: Complete!

At the moment mission two's progress has been pulled to a complete stop due to laziness and lack of inspiration.
So I've decided to go back and finish another painting that was forgotten. I've gotten pretty far on the first panel (there will be four), but I still have a lot of detail to add in on that one and then I have to do the other three. ^^' I have a pretty good feeling about it though and can't wait to see the first panel finished and hopefully entered in our school's show.
We'll see how it goes...

Edit 3/18::

A few days ago I finished my button piece!
It was originally going to have 4 panels, but after trying over and over to re-make the same background I wasn't able to get what I wanted. I also want to enter it in a show and wouldn't have the time to do all four. (I'm slow...^^') So it's now just a cute simple piece with buttons falling out of a jar. I'll try and get a photo soon to show.

I'm relieved that I got a piece done though...I've been having trouble actually finishing pieces. I start out with an idea, but then when it doesn't go exactly as planned I get frustrated and start a new one 'til I have the patience to get back to it. It's a bad habit I need to break. ^^'

Whoot!

Mission Two::

Finishing next painting::

I finally have my next composition for a piece and now I have to transfer it to a canvas.
It's pop art, once again, but I'm going to try and make this one a bit different with some layering of objects and such. I'm really excited to see how it turns out, but I have a lot to get done!
It's based off of Dr. Who and will have the last three doctors as well as the last three masters. Lately I've just really liked doing fan art, but I'm going to try to make my next piece something a bit different. I also need to start to do more drawing pieces...it's been a while since I've done an actual drawing. ^^'

But for now this piece will be my focus.

Edit 4/5::

I'm back to working on this piece! *claps with excitement*
Now that I've finished my buttons I think it's time to go back and finish my forgotten pieces. >.>
So far I've drawn the outlines for three more panels, but I still have two to go. Plus I'm having problems with lips for some reason...I'll get it soon though.
I'm just excited it's getting done.

Edit 10/10::

Wow! It's been a while and yet I'm still not done...^^'
This piece just seems to like to hide in the back of my mind. I have a lot more done on it, but I still have to paint two more panels.

Mission One::

Finding a use for this blog:: Complete!

I've decided that this blog will hold my goals for just about anything I'm hoping to achieve. It might not have to do with art necessarily, but I suppose it will keep up with whats happening in my life.

So now this blog has a purpose!
*cheers*

So, I'm not all that photogenic... but for now at least I have a picture up right? ^^'
This was for an attempt of a senior picture, but me and my mom are heading up to the mountains on Sunday to get better ones that hopefully don't look like I'm forcing a smile. xD
And soon I'll try to do a self portrait instead. I think that would make more since...

Random thoughts:.
I also need to find an actual use for this blog...
I'll start thinking about that when I'm not about to leave for school. xP

Until then.
