Oldish songs uploaded

Three old songs of mine have been uploaded to a music section of my profile. These were recorded around 2002-2003 and I have a video for the Experiments for Futility track coming online very soon. Enjoy.

More artwork is coming soon. Lots of 2d pieces and a few more 3d experiments.

Been off HV for a few days

I've updated the 2008 Create gallery. Some experiments and miscellaneous renders. They aren't the highest quality - just some interesting, fun projects I've done to expand my daily creative efforts. Hope you enjoy them.

Laugh, smirk, do what you will

But I have announced that I am running for the mayor of Memphis in 2011. I have bought the domain for mayor2011.com and will be launching a full campaign to bring real, artistic change to this city.

When you get a graduate from the Second City, Annoyance Theater and Bovine Metroplis Theater - AND career artist running for mayor, you can expect one heck of a humorous run. Lots of graphics, stickers, flyers, promo, etc... It shall be a bizarre one.

And to think... there are three and a half years left to go! Oh, this should be good fun.

Updates on the way

I have plenty of art updates on the way - new images, designs, 3d art experiments, etc... I should also be uploading several old songs of mine within the week. They're a few years old though - so nothing terribly new on the audio front. And that's that.

Upcoming projects

There are a few upcoming projects to note.

1) Miniature photoshoot merging storyline themes from the Brothers Grimm with the visual styles of the Brothers Quay. This will be a big endeavor and will take a long time to prepare for. The final images, however, should be quite amazing.
2) Photoshoots with a local bellydance troupe, professional trampoline artists, burlesque dancers and a few other unique individuals.
3) General flyer designs for upcoming concerts and club events.
4) Re-release of old audio projects including previously unreleased Isosonik and Virus Factory tracks.
5) The official launches of secryt.com and tvgraphics.net websites. Secryt.com will be dedicated to experimental game design. TVgraphics will be a website dedicated to background animations for television production.

That's it for now. Still waiting for 3d renders on Cinema4d to finish. sigh...

Waiting for renders

Sigh... sometimes you just need to surf the internet, watch tv and do something other than digital artwork because your systems are being held back because of long long render times. Perhaps in a few hours I will have some new pieces to post. Looks like I'll just have to go do some manual artwork for the next couple of hours. Maybe it is time to build the miniature models for my next photo shoot. Hmmm.

2008 Create

Throughout 2008, it is my goal to create one, new, unique piece of artwork every day. I will be exploring new techniques, computer programs, traditional mediums, new styles and on-the-fly methods for artistic creation. Some will fail most heinously while others will succeed beyond my wildest dreams. I am a realist when it comes to this endeavor and know some will work and some won't. Don't rip on me for my failures - at least I can say I'm trying something new.

I will be exploring everything from digital media to photography to experimental art to font design to whatever else I can imagine. There are no holds barred, there are no limitations, there are no right or wrongs. There is only the process, the art of creation.

So please join me as I undertake this challenge I have set for myself. 2008 will be a year of creation.

Still feel like I'm very new to this site, so bear with me

I still feel relatively new to this site... well, I am. I have been very very disappointed with other art-based sites and found that the overall attitude and level of art found on HV is so much better and positve. Thanks to everyone for being here and offering a new stomping ground to showcase my work.

I am not looking at becoming the perosn with the most friends, or the person with the most points or anything like that. I am here to share my work with others who are willing to view it, honestly critique it, and share their work back with me. As such, once my feet are firmly planted here, I will gladly do the same for you.

A horrible two weeks and now to get to work

I will start off by saying that I have had the worst two weeks in a long long time. Combine an automobile accident with financial issues and the likelyhood that a new video camera for music video work will not be acquired this year makes the end of 2007 rotten. About 5k put aside for the camera is now gone and hopes for it to return in the next couple of months is futile. To think, I have a few projects lined up for it too.

But... I can't look at the past and look towards the future. And with the end of the year upon us, I at least have 2008 to look forward to. And this will mean much new work is on the horizon. I only ask all of you reading this to check in on occasion - I'll be post lots of materials here very very soon.
