NEW "JOHNNY SOLINGER" MUSIC COMING SOON!
JOHNNY SOLINGER, lead singer for Skid Row plans to relase an album of his own material that will draw more upon his Texas-born country influences like Hank Williams Sr. and Merle Haggard.
Johnny Solinger first broke onto the scene when he formed the band SOLINGER in Dallas, Texas and recorded four independent records with the group in the late 90's. SOLINGER played the regional circuit for a few years enjoying moderate success in Texas and throughout the West. The band eventually split and in January of 2000, Johnny was invited to join the multi-platinum rock band SKID ROW, immediately embarking on a nine month tour with KISS just two weeks later. To date, Johnny Solinger has toured the world many times over and recorded two records with SKID ROW. Thickskin and the latest release entitled Revolutions Per Minute which was released in October of 2006 and is in stores worldwide.
2007 sees Johnny pursuing something that's been running through his veins his whole life...country music. On his latest solo music he proclaims..."Aside from SKID ROW, I've been recording some country tunes as well (hell, I AM from Texas) , and while it might seem odd to have such drastic tastes in music, it seems perfectly natural to me."
The direction is subliminally evident in the country-soaked ditty that snuck its way onto Revolutions Per Minute entitled "You Lie" and more Johnny Solinger country music is on its way. Teaming up with some of the greatest players Texas has to offer, David Grissom (Dixie Chicks, Storyville) bassist Tommy Shannon (Double Trouble) and many more...Johnny Solinger is sure to make a big noise in the country music scene in the years to come.
