New Update 8/1/07:::

Hey everybody, I'm very pleased to see you all still show interest and there are regular new listeners :)
It means alot to me. Here's whats going with Illilium right now.

-I'm finally able to afford a new computer, this will change EVERYTHING. I'm going to be able to create vast soundscapes using some very complicated techniques i've wanted to try for so long.
I've been working off a fairly poor system for a very, very long time.

-I'm going to be working on trying to get the project up & running, officially. This means a catalogue of completed songs, a band, a stage, and a very strange show ;)

-The official band name may stay Illilium, though there are a few names floating around now that all speak of the nature of the vision. If anything, Illilium will be an album title. I'd like to know what people think about this. How do you like Illilium as a name? If your wondering on how I came about it, it just blinked into my head one day during an acid trip. As the music was very trippy (at the time), it deemed suitable ;)

I can't wait to get started. I'm going to really be challenging myself on all fronts from songwriting to production, to instrumentation. Fun times ahead.

Again, this will be a very tight fusion of glitch/rock/noise, ranging from the very harsh & violent to incredibly atmospheric and mellow. Stay tuned. I greatly appreciate your support. Peace.

Update 7/10/07:::

The album will be 12 tracks, divided into 4 chapters.

The sound will be a meeting of glitch/rock/noise.

When completed, it will be sold on CD Baby, and will hopefully find a label.

Update 6/07/07::: So, here goes nothing on making the album I've always wanted to. A reminder to any fans of previous work, it's all going down as soon as the first finished track(s) of the project is on. And as you call tell by "real life burnout", it's in the opposite direction of "waiting in line". There will still be many noisy and unpredictable moments, but not in the synthy way of previous works. I know that She Annon is a fav, don't worry because the beats have only gotten better, more snappy, etc. And my bass-addiction is running strong. The main instruments used in this project from most used to barely used:
-Gibson Electric Guitar
-Acoustic Drums (sampled)
-Acoustic Guitar
-Random household items + tambourine
-Stylized noise (organic or synth made to sound organic)

There's also a saxophone and violin I should use more often, if it fits.
Of course, vocals are added later, but I plan to be vocal intensive.

Update 6/07/07::: Going on to electric guitar for most organic sounds used. I like the sound of it better, and my mic picks up more details from it. "The Real Life Burnout" will be extended, structured, and completed. Let me know if you think any of the levels are off.

Update 6/04/07::: Finally, I'm starting to produce thing that don't make me want to quit.
I think a fuse was lit, and I'm beginning to find my formula. I recommend listening on headphones. Maybe my subwoofer is just too loud. I'm getting the EQ right with the weird mix of sounds I tend to use. Still a little more tweaking...

Update 6/03/07::: Another track trying out manipulated acoustic guitar.

Hey thanks a ton for the kind words! I used to play with a great bass player named John Woolf. He really helped me come up with that bit in "new machine" that I believe you are referring to.

your words mean alot :)
I haven't the slightest why I put in industrial, really, since none of my stuff really fits into that. Perhaps i'll change it. I've been lost on inspiration lately, but your support really helps to push me. Thanks alot.
