I'm a 20 year old University student, taking a 4-year honours double degree in Medieval Studies and Classical studies with minors in English, History and Latin. I work at a restaurant as a Garde Manger, making my way up to Chef de Tournant, until I'm done my BA, then I'm off to law school.
Music is a big part of my life: alexisonfire, City and Colour, Cancer Bats, Daughtry, Story of the Year, Funeral for a Friend, Attack in Black, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Juliana Theory, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Nine Inch Nails, Anberlin, Fall Out Boy, The Fray, Panic! At The Disco, The Neverending White Lights etc... I listen to pretty much everything from country to classical; I especially listen to emo/punk music. I dunno why, in particular, I'm not part of that "scene" so-to-speak, but the music just speaks to me somehow. Music is music, regardless of labels; whatever sounds good, who cares WTF its genre is.
I like movies but I rarely watch them. I often say that if you named 100 movies I probably will only be able to say I've seen about 40 of them. Nevertheless, my favourite movies are the Harry Potter series, Red Dragon, Fight Club, Requiem for a Dream, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Kingdom of Heaven, Pirates of the Caribbean (one and two), American History X, (pretty much any of Edward Norton's movies), Primal Fear, King Arthur, Alexander, Pi, A Beautiful Mind, 25th Hour, The Italian Job, The Score, Silence of the Lambs, and Crash.
I like Classical and Medieval literature as well as contemporary post-modern stuff like Chuck Palahniuk, Brett Easton Ellis, Gregory Maguire, Paul Auster etc.
My hobbies include photography, graphic/web design, reading, writing, getting lost in random towns, taking roadtrips.

I grew up playing in INSANELY brutal punk bands. We'd come home from shows with broken fingers and beat all to hell. I sound so jaded.
I downloaded a couple of their albums. Their song titles are brilliant. I will give them that. And by no means are they bad. Just not my cup of tea these days.
But watch...a few days from now, I'll put them back on and love it.
