The Basic Reason

Art is not just about expressing yourself, art is about saying something that you believe people don't know enough of or do not think about.
Artists create art to awake something in the viewers than was not there before.
Other artists, (like myself), Need to say allot and use the art as a tool to grab peoples attention. When there are enough ears to listen, I will say what I need to say.
Its not about telling the people a story about the wife I hate (picaso) or homajing history (matisse) its about attracting peoples attention to listen to what the artist thinks that people should know of.
In the love and action that surrounds the art world we usually get caught up and rarely forget what's in the back of our heads. Say what we need to say.
I have a long way to go before I get to my point but a good start for me is to remind myself why I need your attention.
This is why I do what I do, I figure, If I grab your eyes I can maybe lend your brain for a couple of minutes. I promise you it will be worth it.
