internal thoughts apropos what is loved most
glimpsing at that blue-eyed boy in hopes of an intimate look
but in all finesse I get caught in this nostalgic, mangled book

only to be pierced by those same eyes I've known all these years
to my only commonly disfavored emotion and dysfunctional fear
our own remote sadness and paralyzed sentiment
which will be perpetrated and repeated until tomorrow
when we meet again...
