New Songs!

1/8/2008 at 5:10 PM

Brothers and Sisters,

I have added three brand new songs for your listening pleasure with the addition of a remastered version of traditional favourite, Don't Forget Me Little Darling.

Hysteria is a song I wrote in early 2006 and had pretty much forgotten about it until I came across an old tape recording of it only very recently. This inspired me to make a new, definitive version of the song as it's sound has varied throughout it's somewhat short lifetime. Listen out for the Melodica - gear!

Sailin' On came to me shortly after my arrival here in Copenhagen. A short ditty, I was heavily influenced by Lee Mavers and that Liverpool sound with this one, much like Hysteria you may find.

It's Not Here (Not In This City) is a very new song, penned only in December and recorded within a week of it's completion. Literary references to Charles Bukowski and Edgar Allan Poe are evident, sound-wise it's a Bobby Zimmerman inspired melody.

I hope you enjoy them, all are available to download for a limited period. Give me a shout let me know you are well and healthy.

Be Strong!

A Rather Lovely Day

10/18/2007 at 6:48 PM

This morning, I arrived back home from a trip to Hamburg, see the photo gallery for some choice pictures. Anyway, I came home to check my email inbox to find I had a message from Rob, Humble Voice God and all-round nice chap. God told me that I would be featured and to expect some 'traffic'. I have had a nice evening accepting friend requests and checking out the profiles of many others.

So, i would like to say thank you to Humble Voice and to those of you who took the time to come on over to my page and become my friend. Please do have a listen to the songs up here. I will be publishing new tracks in time for Christmas, that does not mean to say I will be resting on my laurels, oh no, quite the opposite. While you are eagerly anticipating these latest offerings, I shall be working hard to ensure they are to your satisfaction.

Once again, thank you all. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Keep on the sunny side,

Davie

It's Great To Be Here

Welly welly well, what have we here?

I'm really delighted to be here amongst contemporaries. Thank you to my new friends for first of all adding me, and of course for the comments. My profile is in it's earliest, most humble of beginnings. Please bear with me, I shall add more songs and other such items of interest for you lovely people.

Until then, my friends.

Shalom.

ooooo... rangers vs celtic.. and how much will you bet that it is not playing on a single channel over here... (we only have one channel that plays any sort of football and it always plays the games no one wants to see... like US vs Switzerland... .. granted the Man Utd game is being played tomorrow :) though I think rangers vs celtic will perhaps be one of those "have to watch" matches...

(adds another reason to move across the pond... better footie coverage)

i am of the unusal sort, but i find it rather liberating... more people should try it... if nothing else it would make the world a much more interesting place...

well i bid thee buenos noches, good night, and adieu...
as they say tommorow is another day... (rather obvious of them isn't it)...

favorite writers? hrmm... lol .. Hunter S Thompson (of course), Orson Scott Card, TH White, Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert, Stephen King.. list goes on and on.. I like to read.. I blame my father for it.. :)

Yes, I admit Rangers have caught my eye in CL (along with celtic) and well all of scotland really.. i'm a big fan of Craig Gordon , kudos to them, hope to see them through :).. I just resently became a footie aholic after the last world cup.. I blame ZiZi and Rooney.. lol.. mostly Rooney, granted it was all a bit rocky but hes got a lot of passion, it intrigued me (i like passionate people).. now i'm hooked ... which is ironic, my mom is a sports nut and here I am obsessing over the one sport she doesn't care for haha.. after all those years she spent trying to get me into various sports... ironic yes? she'll watch baseball or nascar on the TV .. and she says footie is boring!

well hope your day is a good one... :) xx

And my boyfriend lives in Hartlepool, which is nowhere near Liverpool, and I'm a Man Utd. fan (to his utter dismay) but I love the Beatles so theres gotta be some common ground in their somewhere...
