The moon shined bright. Clouds lingered in the sky but none dared to venture too close to the moon's powerful beams. Leaves rustled in the background and the faint sound of a dog's howl could be heard from a distance. A light breeze brushed across my face to remind me that I was still sitting on the hood of my car in the driveway of my house. I enjoyed the company of the moon; it was my best friend. I could tell it anything I wanted without fear of being judged. Sometimes, I liked to pretend that it could talk back to me, and I would imagine what it would say. But tonight, the night I needed help the most, it wouldn't say anything.
