i fly for the first time, outside of my dreams this weekend
i get to fly side by side with birds and way above any snow storm
for the first time in my short 23 years of life
i shall be flying three provinces away to Toronto
it's not halifax, or moncton it's toronto
bigger then any city or town i've ever been in
i'm not nervous or scared
i am simply excited to finally be high
high above the clouds, outside of my dreams.

he's a four year old toddler trapped in a twenty-something body.
I've stopped caring about what he wants.
If he wants silence he can purchase yellow spongy earplugs.
[it's a blessing, sometimes, to be hard of hearing]
He bangs his fist, hides behind his computer for pretection
So afraid to face the world, so afraid of confrontation.
The world doesn't work like this, if he wants to survive
He'll have to stop banging his fist and hiding behind his computer.
[someday I'll explode, & his face will be shredded with my words]

Welcome to the mature residence...wait, that's false advertising.
