Music has always been an important element in my life. When I was just a baby my dad used to sit me on his lap in front of the stereo and put vinyl records, usually Alice Cooper or other hard rock bands from the 70's. So from a very early age I was into a lot of music that was way before (or after?) my time, whilst other kids at primary school were listening to the Spice Girls etc. I was quite happy to blast out AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Aerosmith and of course Alice Cooper much to the confused horror of my fellow classmates.

In secondary school I met and continued friendships with people and decided I wanted to start a band. A few of us would get together in each others houses and blast our way through renditions of Korn and Deftones songs. We named ourselves 2econd Solution. The band lasted a good number of years and we gained much popularity among our peers over the years. We played local gigs which got more and more chaotic as they went on. 2econd Solution was a blend of punk rock, metal, alternative rock and energy. Unfortunately we decided to pretty much call it quits when we all went off to university.

My taste in music has evolved quite a bit since I was a baby. Once upon a time I would have scorned at the idea of making drum & bass or electronic music but these days I slave away over software and records, trying to put together beats and samples.

All the music you hear on this page was created by me under my solo name Kicking Nines. Enjoy...
