A word on beauty

Soo, time to get on with this eh? That's great...
Today, I am here to talk about a peculiar thing called beauty in symmetry. I is a known fact, that symmetry is pleasing to the eyes, why? Well because the brain only needs to work half strength and then just mirror the image. Just look at this classy image of the brooklyn bridge:
MMMaaaaah, as the dear Mr. Simpson would put it, isnt that awesome? it sure is, but theres more to symmetry than meets the eye. De facto is: its a broken scam! For years we have been told that symmetry is eyecandy, and a symmetrical face makes you more sexually attractive! Does it now? I have digitally enhanced a picture of my friend to follow this simple guideline of perfect beauty, and i must say, im not the least bit convinced, but you can judge for yourself.
Well? I know humour is an important factor when we speak attempts of delivering wood, but cmon, I mean he looks like the heavy weapons guy from Team Fortress Two, or some Stephen King character.
So what was the point, ah yes, proving that symmetry is not sexy at all, at least not on faces, i encourage you all to embrace your imperfections, after all. its what makes us!

Ok, Hello Humble Voice!
So, I might as well introduce myself here. I am a danish (viking) guy of the lovely vintage of 87, so that makes me somewhat old and none the wiser. Currently educated in the arts of web-development, but that sucks and I want to focus more on graphic design.
Besides that? well I mostly just chill around, I like to pursue the beauty of the world with my camera, results can be seen somewhat around here... Also I am a film (movie) fan, and always good for some critique. As for music, "pop" and all sorts of techno seems to annoy me, while I appreciate nearly all forms of proper music, like you know Bands, and not just a model with a producer/manager.
Any spare energy gets a run in the afterburner on the mountainbike (Giant XtC2) every other week, that is so great fun.
soo that seems to cover the basics i think, at any rate, im really looking forward to get integrated with this community :)
