after the signup - new friends to come?

so, I've been here for a few hours and aready a few minutes into my membership here on humble voice, someone requested me to add them as friends. no comment on anything - only a "welcome to hv" followed by a request. I'm not normally a snobbish person, but I choose not to accept them, since it seems pretty superficial to me - maybe a half-hearted gesture with the hope of another hv point to get that camera or whatever. anyway, I felt that accepting total strangers to whom I had not exchanged a single word other than "welcome" or "thanks" would be pointless as I wouldn't want to hold a friendlist full of "those kinds of acquaintances". anyway, no hard feelings or anything, but if we shoud be friends, then oet us be friends. if we get to talk during my stay here, then I'll add you.
