I have added some new photos. I seem to stay close to nature even in the 'man made' gallery. Loving in a rural area makes it easy but I guess that I prefer the country. I will try to make it a point to go in town for more pictures soon.
Judging by my pictures, green must be my favorite color. It really isn't I just love fresh, crisp summer images of lushness. Perhaps green is at the top of my favorite list?
I have also added another gallery for children. I have many pictures of my children and others. I will post more later, when I have time to look at what I have and decide what to post.

Ok, looking around hv gives me so many ideas. I have never taken pictures of buildings or bridges for any other reason than to document where I have been or because it was an interesting historical structure. Now, I want to take pictures of buildings for their beauty. I'm not sure how to do that so I have no idea how this will turn out. Wish me luck! :)

Thanks so much to the tip giver that suggested I "up the contrast" on my photography. I was wondering how others were getting such amazing shots. I am going to take you up on your suggestion and play with some of my pics. I do have photoshop but have never used it and the camera that I use is very new to me. I guess that it is time to do some reading and tutorial taking. I will post the enhanced photos so you can tell me what you think. Thanks again.

I would love to get some tips from the great photographers here at hv. I look around and see so much wonderful talent. If anyone would like to give a tip or two, I would be more than happy to try them out. I just have a nikon digital camera so I am not sure how far I can go with that.
At the beach.

We went to the beach over the weekend. Very cold here but no snow. I was hoping to get some pictures of snow on the beach but it didn't happen. We had a great time. I did get some pictures of the sunset. I would have loved to get sunrise as well but that didn't happen either. Hopefully I will be getting another chance.

Taking pictures is a hobby of mine and after seeing so many beautiful photos on HV, I realize just how amateur I am. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not being down on myself, just realistic and now inspired. I have been inspired to learn how to see the world as the camera does and use the camera to capture great images full of color, contrast, texture and feeling. This will take a while so don’t expect anything great for some time :)
