Always be yourself because the people that don't care are the ones that matter and the ones that do care don't matter.
As an aspiring child psychologist, I feel that I am obligated to write the following:
This is a shout out to all those perfectionsists in the world, and by that I mean dancers haha and college kids =)
I have come to point in my life where I have realized who my true friends are in my life. I can see straight through people who have ill intentions and are fake at heart. I believe a true friendship is one that can remain stable through the toughest times. It is hard now a days to find someone who will stand by your side through your ups and downs. One of the most refreshing things in life is to know that you have made a friend that is honest, trustworthy and selfless. That is not an easy task, but when it does happen it will be true bliss.
Life takes so many turns in a short period of time, that it is essential to remember that caring to much can actually hurt you. I am not saying that everyone should ignore their problems, but knowing how to not stress or care about a situation can be a powerful tool for one's mental health. There are things in life that you cannot control and it is important to know this. If you spend all of your time worrying about things in your life that you can't control, you will miss all of the great things in life that are at your fingertips. Also, know that it is ok not to know what the hell you want to do... You are not supposed to have an answer for everything. Life is about learning and exploration, so enjoy the journey. Don't buck your experiences. Ingest your new learnings and build a theory for how your details in your life blend together to form positive developmental trajectories.
