C- Hall
Biography
In 1982, Carlos DeAndre Hall was born in Barbour County, Alabama. He was the second and youngest child of Tera Hall and the late Charles Hall Sr. Carlos has an older brother by the name of Charles Hall Jr. At the young age of five Carlos and his family lost a father and a loving husband to an aneurysm. Tera Hall was now forced with a job that 70% of the women in America have to do, raise her sons to be men. Carlos said, “It felt like apart of me was lost and I fell in a state of confusion.” With Tera Hall working two jobs, Carlos was raised in the streets. He started smoking weed at the age of twelve with the older crowd, who gave him the nickname C-Hall. “At the time weed was my therapy and 2pac cd’s was my bible,” said Carlos. He was so inspired by 2pac he and three other friends formed a rap group called Eternal. The group lasted for 6 to 7 years producing hit singles like retaliation and panties on the stage. They were opening acts for Universal Artist Dirty and Trick Daddy, ect. However, music had half of Carlos time cause he was a star athlete also. While attending Louisville High School he put up record setting numbers on the football team as a receiver. His senior year he was the number one receiver in the wiregrass area with 43 catches for 1012 yards. Although Carlos was a star in sports no one expected him to graduate high school. For the first time Carlos proved everybody wrong, but it wouldn’t be the last time. After high school he was accepted into Troy State University in Troy, Al. Nevertheless, he knew college wasn’t for him, but it was the greatest present he could give his mother was to get a college degree, which he did. While in college Eternal went in different directions but Carlos stilled held on to music. In college is where he reunited with his cousin Brent Baskin. At the time Brent was into producing R&B singers and rappers. Carlos and Brent collaborated to form Creative Mindz L.L.C. Under this label is where they started writing music for a female R&B artist named Mystic. With a talented singer and talent writers it still was hard to get discovered in Alabama. So she decided to depart from Creative Mindz L.L.C. That’s when Carlos told Brent he was ready to go back to rappin. So he went to Atmosphere Recording in Montgomery, Al. to start a demo. There he collaborated with a super producer named Chasing Dreams of Nu Noiz Production. Chasing produce 4 of the five tracks on C-Hall demo. C-Hall is now the self proclaimed God of Alabama.
